My GeoDirectory Search Form Returns Results From Other Pages, Posts, Docs, Etc..

    Hi There,

    I was under the impression that the GeoDirectory search would only return results from the listings (in my case, “Places” for right now). When I search in the GeoDirectory Search Form, I get a search results page from all over my site. Is this because I use BuddyPress Global Search on my site?

    That’s a bit of a bummer since I’ve invested a bit here with membership, etc..

    I read that this plugin is compatible with BuddyBoss Boss theme and that’s what I’m using, I’ve customized it a lot so there’s no turning back now but Boss theme relies heavily on BP Global Search for it’s search functionality and search styling compatibility..

    I am sure i looked into it in the past but i could not find a hook to disable their query modifications.

    When GDv2 is launched we will be re-testing everything then.

    We were able to find all of the hooks to disable the hijacking of the GeoDirectory search by BP Global Search.
