    Hello,

we have a website with around 80K places. The website has (twice) crashed (and came back after deactivating the WPGeoDir plugin).

Did some research and noticed that with a traffic of around 40 to 50 visitors clicking on the map the MySQL server has a constant CPU usage of 250% reaching up to 750% sometimes.

Is there any optimized MySQL server configuration to use?

The site is hosted on a VPS server with dedicated resources.

The results return clustered (server side) but for thousands of locations not sure if it efficient.

Any suggested tests to take to have a better understanding of the WPGeoDir plugin impact ?

Have you tried to enable the map cache at GD > Design > map. Look towards the bottom of the page. I’ll get Stiofan to look at your question too. Thanks

As Guust suggested, try the map cache first, and let us know how you get on.

    Thanks,

Thank you for your suggestions. It seems to have improved a lot. Will monitor for now and if something unusual comes up will let you know.
