    Hi GD Team,
    How are you?

There are basically three questions or parts to this post.

    1. The logged in menu and logged out menu are different. There are more menu links in the main navigation when it is logged out or not on a gd-login or gd page. How do we modify the the logged in and logged out menu items or links for gd and non gd related pages?
    2. a. How to change the default My Account in the GD navigation to say that of WooCommerce instead of the gd-login account,
    b. otherwise, how to add the WooCommerce My Account to the GD My Account so as to have one listing account and one shopping account. [I did see one earlier post that deals with the BuddyPress login but the question maybe a little different.]
    c. How to change the settings in the GD Navigation. For example, clicking on the Listing >> Events shows no record because it is set to Today. How do I set the listings for the menu link to Past or Upcoming events (or even Today)? The same question should apply to Places.
    3. How to edit the gd-login in the URL? For example, how to change the URL from http://mysite.com/gd-login to say http://mysite.com/directory/?

Your kind endeavors are greatly appreciated. Thanks again, and have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

    Best Regards,
    James

    Hi,

    1) for the logged out and logged in problem, that must be cache. Do you have any caching plugin installed or has your server a built in caching system? Your plugin page doesn’t load at all for me…

    2) a & b this is considered a customization, you’ll need to hire a developer to help you out with that.

c go to GeoDirectory >> Events Settings >> Default event filter and select upcoming or past.

That’s only applicable to events, places don’t have dates. If you want to change sorting options you got Place Settings >> Sorting options.

    3) rename the gd-login page to directory in both title and slug.

Let us know how you went,
    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    1. Well, logically, it should be cache but I did clear the cache in many ways, such as via the WordFence plugin, etc. but still the problem persisted. NOTE: Even the frontpage is different when logged in and logged out. Logged in page is updated when the page is modified in the backend but it not updated or not the same when it is logged out. So, it is more than a cache issue.

It could indeed be cached but somehow it is not updating or the logged in and logged out pages are different? Can you check and let me know what the problem is.

Could it be due to the theme as there is no such problem with other themes? Or could it be some settings somewhere? The gd-login or gd pages and non-gd pages are just different, why?

    2.a. OK.
    2.b. OK.
    2.c. Good, thanks!

    3. It does not work. For example, the register page in the navigation is still gd-login and so it is not directed accordingly.

The number 1 question is more critical so I hope you can help to investigate further. Thanks again, and have a great week ahead! 🙂

    Best Regards,
    James

    Hi Paolo,

You said the plugin page does not load for you. Could it be due to the BuddyPress integration?

You did say that there might be some misconfiguration in my last post https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/supreme-directory-theme-3/page/2/ but I haven’t got any reply yet. Are you checking?

Note that after the WordFence plugin (which takes care of cache, etc.) is disabled, the problem remains so I re enable the plugin again. Thanks again…

    Best Regards,
    James

    Hi Paolo,

FYI, the GD Booster is the culprit in this case as the cache that was stored was not removed after I disabled the plugin. There was a conflict between GD Booster and WordFence so I had to deactivate one of them.

However, the cached files were stored in wp-content/cache/geodir-gd-booster and wp-content/booster_cache but were not removed in the process so I have to manually delete them from the server.

I would appreciate that you could follow up and help me look at the plugin page, whether as you said earlier there was some misconfiguration in the server. Note that there are many plugins and I will deactivate some of them but from my test earlier it is still slow after these plugins were disabled. Is the problem plugin the GD BuddyPress integration plugin which seems to slow things down when it is enabled> Thanks again… Have a great week ahead! 🙂

    Best Regards,
    James

    Hi,

GD Booster should be compatible with Wordfence, however you must disable their cache. Deactivating doesn’t clear the cache of GD Booster, you have to clear it using the button for it, before deactivating it.

I’ve flagged your post for the developers.

    They’ll let you know soon.

    Thanks

    Hi James,

With 107 active plugins things are going to be slow. You have multisite installed you should try to move each thing to its own site for example you have a shop also installed on the main directory, this would be better suited to a sub directory. I will be doing a blog post about it soon but you should know 107 active plugins will not work fast for any site.
