    HI,

First of all, great work. I love that Plugin, but there are some questions puzzling me.:

    supreme theme:

    A)
    I can`t change the <h1 entry title> from „NEAR ME“.
I searched & translated the Supreme, Directory-Starter, Geodirectory plugin and adv.search plugin for it.
    where can I find it?
or should the „near me“ checkbox take me directly to the location page of the city you are in? I always see the „near me“ page.

    B)
If I type in a city name, the city will be suggested, I have to click on the city or press enter, but then I get further to the Listing Page. Is it possible to type in a city and stay on the First Page?

May you can help me with an CSS Problem, too.
I copied a CSS Mod of your forum to show & hide „popular categories“
and made the buttons a little bit bigger.

    Here is the Problem:
on desktop size screens, it will show 5 Categories in line an and 5 buttons in 2 lines when i clicked show more categories, but some of the some of the buttons are vertical misaligned. But if switch to smaller display the media queries get it to work to aligned perfectly. What am I missing??
The header wrap column seems to get smaller if I switch from “standard startpage” to „near me“. so I don`t have 5 buttons in line, but 4 and 1 in the next line. If I click on „show more categories“ I get 2 lines of 5 Buttons. How could I fix that?

    On Detail Page:
    1. If I set the „author details“ on “display: none“ I can`t see the „Claim listing. Is there an work-around for that?

    2. How can i change the order of „tabs“ in „show as list” view?

    3. is it possible to put the content of the sidebar (address, website, get directions e.g.) into the header (sd-detail-details) ? because on small displays like phones , all these important information ist buried down at the end of the detail page.

    On the Start Page:
    1. I can`t get the “advance Search“ Field to open close to the button. It always floats left. But on the „Near me“ Page it looks fine.

Thank you very much for your help.

    best

    Chris

    A) Please update the theme to latest version if you are talking about the main title?

    B) I have added the location switcher to your main menu. You can adjust what other things appear by default under GD>Design>Navigation.

For categories, try updating the theme.

    1. Maybe you want this?

    .sd-detail-author .author-avatar,
    .sd-detail-author .author-link {display:none;}

    2.
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/re-order-tabs-in-a-listing-detail-page/

    3. Yes but only with hooks at the moment, where exactly do you wish to put them?

    4. This is due to the large title, we could make it width 100% to resolve?

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Thank you very much.

The user vs. claim listing works.

    well, to #3:

I guess it would make sense to put it under the Entry title of the Detail-Page.
the country, region, city thing is relativly useless.
first would be nice, the address, than telefonnumbers, than website and under that “getdirections”. i guess that would make sense. if you browse such a webpage on a cell phone.

    I updated the theme.
But the redirection to the nearest location doesn`t work. If I tick the “near me” checkbox it is supposed to switch to the city (for example: berlin) I stay, right?

Hmm, the category-buttons on the startpage are still misaligned in the vertical direction. You don

t have an idea, too? right? On a tablet or cellphone it

    s aligned perfectly.
    I guess it

s because the category title has two lines, but I can

t find margins or paddings that would push these buttons upwards.

    A question about the location-switcher:

Is there a way to link the “everywhere-link” to the usual startpage and not to the “location”-page?

or is it possible to fit a “everywhere-link-checkbox” into the near-me-compass table?
could make sense, because the location-switcher seems to be double done with the supreme-theme and could be confusing for user. which one to use? location-switcher or location field?

I will leave #3 To Stiofan.

The /location/ page is the startpage of the directory and will have information for everywhere. The homepage may not have information about all locations. And you can add a link to “Home” for your visitors on the main menu or they can click on the logo.

The “switcher” and the “location field” serve a different purpose.
The “switcher” is not a search function but takes you to the page for a particular city or region.
The “location field” allows you to search IN a city or region [example Berlin] or NEAR a particular place [example Brandenburg Gate].

I guess I am missing the point of the differences.

But what i really want to know:

under Advanced search > redirect settings… > I see this point:
Redirect to nearest location (on first time load users will be auto geolocated and redirected to nearest geolocation found)

I would expect to be geolocated and then redirected to the city/region page. with the according categories. like it is if I select a city on the location switcher.
if I am in berlin, i will be geolocated, redirected to the berlin page and would see only the categories that exists in berlin.
But no, I only see the “Near me” page. (is this supposed to be right? because it doesn`t make sense)

which brings me to my question of my first post If it had to be the “Near me” page:
How can I change “Near me”?

    <blockquote>I can`t change the <h1 entry title> from „NEAR ME“.
I searched & translated the Supreme, Directory-Starter, Geodirectory plugin and adv.search plugin for it.
    where can I find it?

    best
