Hello, I have disabled Address as required in Places, but still cannot import without Latitude and Longitude. It is very time consuming to get these data points, how can I import without them? Shall I make a CPT and just call it Listings instead of Place, and then disable required address?

You can create a custom post type that NEVER needs addresses:
GD > General > > General tab > Select CPT to disable physical location
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-general/#physical

Such a CPT can NEVER have addresses or maps.

If you want addresses, lat and lng are required, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#mandatory

You can add zeros as lat and lng if you like, but you do need lat and lng. Two zeros will position your listings on the map on the equator on the GMT zero timeline.

These tools help you look up lat and lng in bulk: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#resources

    Thanks

Want to chime in here because we’re looking to do the same thing. If I understand correctly from this thread, it is possible to do a mass import of locations but in order for them to correctly be displayed on the map longitude and latitude needs to be include in the import file. Is this correct? Else use a custom post type with address field omitted. Am I tracking correctly here?

that is correct. Here you find resources of websites providing bulk lat and lon from lists of addresses: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#resources

personally I think now this is the best: https://www.doogal.co.uk/BatchGeocoding.php

Obviously you’ll need to change from UK to whatever country you want.

    Thanks
