Hi Tom, sorry for the delay, i was working on the tabs layout feature all this time, i’m just starting to go through bugs now, i’ll get back to you about them by the end of the week!
Thanks,
Stiofan
April 30, 2018 at 1:02 pm #4285021. I have added a popup warning to alert the user if the dummy data is installing and they try to continue.
2. This is working fine for me, note that this will only work if your site is using HTTPS and has not answered no to the initial request. I have also now added a option to let the user manually set their location.
3. This is part of advanced search addon. (i did not understand the part about regions)
4. There are a few ways you can add it, but you would almost never add it to an individual place description, only to a template via shortcode or to a sidebar via widget or as a new tab under tab layout settings.
5. This was recently implemented, it might be that you checked before it was implemented, this is what will be displayed if the listing has no images added and there are no category default images added.
Thank you for your feeback, i have implemented some of your suggestions 🙂
Thanks,
Stiofan
May 1, 2018 at 8:50 am #428591Hi,
2. Great, after upgrading to beta 12 this now works. It didn’t previously work for me.
3. When surfing to the Location page (for instance https://www.heldenvandewetenschap.be/test/location/) there’s no automatic user location detection feature. You have to enter a location manually. It would be nice if that can be automated for the visitor. So I was wondering why it’s not there. Is this because by default the plugin only works for 1 city, and therefore unnecessary? And is it only enabled with the multi-region plugin?
I also had a look at the new Tabs Settings. It’s very nice to offer this level of customisations. Most tabs like Facebook, Website, Fieldset, … are still empty, but I assume they’re under development. I do was wondering how to add fields to the main detail page. For instance, I would prefer to have the reviews under the tabs. Is that possible too, or is this theme dependent?
Thanks,
Tom
May 1, 2018 at 9:27 am #4285963. yes the auto detect is part of the addons, not core.
The facebook tabs etc should work, if they are not then then there might be a problem.
With this setup you should be able to add almost anything anywhere, including reviews. If you can provide wp-admin details i’ll have a look.
Thanks,
Stiofan
May 10, 2018 at 9:57 am #429884Hi,
After upgrading to beta 13, the tabs I added (including Facebook, Website and Special Offers) have disappeared. I re-added them in the backend but they don’t show up in the front end (with the Primer theme). In beta 12 they did show up, but were all empty.
I’ll send you wp-admin details to our dummy site in a message.
Also, I have found a bug (or at least a user case you may have not considered): if one updates a Place in the front end (for instance something small like updating the URL or business hours), the previously assigned “featured image” is gone. And there’s seems no way to re-assign it as there’s no option to assign images from the Media Library to a place. You can only re-upload them. As a result, this dummy place (https://www.heldenvandewetenschap.be/test/places/atomium/) already has the same images 3 times.
Would it be possible to show the existing images of a Place in the front end editor? That way, one could re-order, add more, delete, … at will.
Also, is there an option so that logged in visitors can make updates to listings and save them “Pending Review”? Idem for the Claim Listings plugin: we need to review any updates before they’re published.
May 16, 2018 at 11:29 am #430820Have you had the change to look into this issue I reported with images gone missing when updating listings?
May 16, 2018 at 11:31 am #430822This reply has been marked as private.May 16, 2018 at 12:58 pm #430845I have checked this on a fresh install of v2.0.13 and cannot recreate it.
You mentioned ‘upgrade’; V2 betas should be ‘fresh’ installs.
In the test I was able to add images in the backend editor, and then view them in the frontend.
Did I miss a step for the test?
May 16, 2018 at 2:20 pm #430859Maybe the issue was caused by installing beta 13 over 12. It only occurs with listings I added. The dummy once work fine. So should be ok.
Is there an option so that logged in visitors can make updates to listings and save them “Pending Review”? But they shouldn’t be able to delete images. Idem for the Claim Listings plugin: we need to review any updates before they’re published.

This is not possible just now but we do plan to implement this sort of wiki feature in future.
