Hi,
that is correct, GeoDirectory does not come with all the listings of all the campings in the world. Instead it provides you with a way to input those listings and show them on your site.
October 2, 2018 at 3:43 pm #448496wow… what a deception… so what is this theme GD sells named whoop…Imagine you had a site just like Yelp – only better! ??
do you think yelp or trip advisor did provide data by hand? that is impossible.
so with whoop is it possible?
I don’t understand in this case what means multilocation. why if I search “campings” in a certain area, by example a city like Argelès sur mer, occitania, there’s is no answer, with a google API key.
so what is GD for in fact? I really don’t understand the benefit of it.
what does it mean whoop better than yelp? yelp finds even a translator, or a garage, so why can’t I find only one category in one city, region, country?
what is the interest, for a tourist who wants a list of campings or restaurants in a certain area, if they need to input the name of it? they won’t discover anything, for me that’s a non sens. .
October 2, 2018 at 3:46 pm #448498may be I don’t understand how it works: you say: Instead it provides you with a way to input those listings and show them on your site.
so what is the way?
why can’t I find no camping that I don’t provide everything, like name adress etc?
I really don’t understand. please explain, thank’s for your answers already.
October 2, 2018 at 3:52 pm #448504GD does not come with listing data.
GD provides forms that you can fill in to show listings on your site.
Whoop is a theme that looks similar to Yelp.
Listings can also be imported, but you will need to acquire the data yourself.
October 2, 2018 at 4:40 pm #448519ok thanks for your answer.
do you think yelp or trip advisor did input their data , by hand, one by one?
i feel the advertisement of whoop a bit dishonnest, these two celeb website provide so much data it is impossible that they made it by hand.
do you have a clue how they did it?
with every place with photos , contact, adress, phone etc geo placed?
October 2, 2018 at 4:42 pm #448520what sort of API key should I take from google to hace pictures?
October 3, 2018 at 8:38 am #448606Hello,
I do not know how they got their data, but, anyone is allowed to create a listing.
You can allow your site visitors to create listings on your website, too.

what sort of API key should I take from google to hace pictures?
I do not know about ‘pictures’, what do you mean about that?
October 3, 2018 at 12:00 pm #448645hello
by pictures I mean photos, in the dummy data there are photos of the places. I thought the google api would provide them also.
I think I believed and hoped many wrong things..
October 3, 2018 at 2:17 pm #448666No, maybe you are thinking of the social importer addon. That addon was created to allow an individual business owner, like ‘Joe’ who owns “YES Camping” so they could put in the URL for their business FB page or Yelp page to quickly import their business detail.
Have you already tried it?
October 4, 2018 at 10:23 am #448742no, but I will , thank’s for the advise 🙂
