How do I do this? So far all i can find is walk-throughs that assume (or just state, “now we let gd take over your site’s homepage”) I want it to be my site’s homepage. If I just want it to be another wordpress page accessible by the menu, do I have to recreate the homepage? Do you have a link to a walk through or documentation page that can help me? I’ve read quite a lot of it but can’t seem to figure it out. I created a page, set it as the “Home” page, and linked to it from my menu, but it comes up blank.

    Hi Nate,

I’d like you to check this section of the documentation as it covers this topic https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home . Well, let us know how it goes or if it helps.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

if you don’t use GD as your home page, the default directory home page will be the /location/ page and you can change both page name ad slug.

    Just FYI.

    Thanks

OK, but what does this mean: “If you want to use one of your normal WordPress pages for the homepage of your website, then select the GD Location page here.”

What is the “GD Location page” – do you mean select the same page as the Location page below?

And I’ve done this – selected my Location page as the Home page… however, my Location page does not show anything – it is blank!

If you location page is blank, it means you haven’t added dummy data OR the widgets to the GD Home sections manually.

If you provide a link and admin credentials I’ll have a look.

    Thanks

Looks like i need to configure the widgets manually. It looks like all the widget fields are blank. I didn’t see this in anything that i read…

    Hi,

they are added when adding dummy data. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-general/#dummy

If you don’t add dummy data, you need to add the widgets manually.

    Thanks
