I am setting up a directory with thousands of listings from each state in the USA.

I will be importing scraped content from each state in a state-specific file.

Is there a way to have the image files uploaded for those listings from each state appear in their own state folder?

The thought of having tens of thousands of images in one giant main folder is driving my “must be organized!” brain crazy.

(And, to add further detail, all listings will have 1 main image, but a large percentage could have 25 – 200+ additional images associated with it.)

    Thank you,

    Duane

GD doesn’t have a feature for that, so it would require a customization.

Thank you, Alex, for the rapid reply, as always!

I can located the files where I want manually with WP Real Media Library (or similar plugin).

But, since GD indicates where it expects those files to be located if I upload them to where I think it makes sense to locate them, GD doesn’t “agree”.

It would be great if there was an option presented that would give an option to specify a location other than the default (okay, while I am on the “it would be great” thing, it would be great if I could restore my once great hair civilization, lose 20 pounds and be 6 feet tall, so, if you can’t help with the location of imported media files, how ’bout any of those three wishes???)

    FWIW,

    Duane
