Page layout conflict

    Hello,

    For some reason the single item page is not excepting my theme template.
    Every where else this works except on these pages.
    Please see my attachments to illustrate.
    GD is displaying classic mode of the theme and not modern template.

    Please let me know how i can change this

    You have to set
    GD > Settings > Design tab > Details sub-tab > Page template file override > Auto

    Let us know.

    Is that what you mean? Please explain exactly what the problem is please.

    We are getting there. the only problem is it is pulling a photo from the listing instead of pulling from the theme which will always cause a visibility problem as the heading is set to be in white. https://www.hermanusexperiences.co.za/places/fireflyvillas/

    GD > Settings > Design tab > Details sub-tab > Disable theme featured image support

    Thank you Alex,

    If I set the theme page template to what i want it to be it gets changed to the old view that i do not want.
    If i set it on auto as it was the layout is better although still not displaying my feature image.
    As attached the single listing is still using one of the listing images and not the featured image?
    How do i change the individual item display to show the feature image and not images from the listing?

    If you do not want the featured image of the listing to be used, then you should change the template to use a different image.
    It is displaying the featured image of the listing, see image.

    Guust,

    The template I want uses the featured image on every page except the individual item page. For some reason the individual item page overrides this and uses a listing image I cannot log into each new listing every time and add my template feature image.
    This is the only place through out the theme that this is not working.
    There must be a way to change this

    The detail page is using the featured image. The first listing image IS the featured image.
    If you want to use another featured image than the featured image of the relevant page, in this case the first listing image, then you need to change the template to create a fixed image in the header.
    The template is doing exactly what you want, it “uses the featured image on every page”.

    Then how do i change the template to create a fixed image when the template already does that on every other page through out my website??

    Thanks for your reply. Are you saying that you want this image as shown in the attached to be fixed as shown in this example? https://css-tricks.com/use-cases-fixed-backgrounds-css/ . if not, could you elaborate a little bit more?
