    Sorry, but it is not.
    The template uses the featured image for the page or post or listing, just like it does on all the pages that use the template.

    For example, this test page uses the featured image of the page or post or listing, just like it does on all the pages that use the template: https://www.hermanusexperiences.co.za/aaatest/

    That page does not use GD at all.

    Guust, It is the plugin that is choosing the feature photo not the theme?

    The GD plugin is changing what the theme uses as the feature photograph. I have set the photograph I want on the GD details page as i have done on all the pages on my site. The only place it is not displaying is on the individual events and places details page.
    I have also set the photograph on post type, set all category pictures to theme, set featured image for gd item. As per attached. Still the plug in is selecting a feature picture from the content uploaded

    {
    background-color: #fff;
    background-image: url(https://www.hermanusexperiences.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/resized-5.jpg);
    background-position: center;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-size: cover;
    padding: 81px 0;
    position: relative;
    }
    Even when I use this for custom css it will not disable listing theme photograph. Where can I disable listing picture displaying as feature photograph?

    GD > Settings > Design tab > Details sub-tab > Disable theme featured image support
