place settings fields – a few questions about place settings

    Hi,

    1. Do I understand this correctly? Places>>>Settings This is where I build the input form for members of the public to add a listing to my directory.

    2. What if I want to break up the form with some longer text explanations?

    3. At the bottom of the advanced settings there’s a field called “Option Values” which is not very user friendly. It shows a bunch of code options. Is there a tutorial that explains in more detail how to use the multi-select field?

    4. Do any of the fields work with conditional login? For example, a user checks a box and a new field opens for them too add some text.

    1. The Custom Fields tab is where you setup the fields, and the order (drag and drop) is the order of the fields on the form.

    2. You can add a “Field group” item, or alter the field description for any field.

    3. The option values field has a tooltip with an explanation.

    4. Yes and No. GD is focused on price packages for show/hide. So, if a field is excluded from a package, a user adding/editing with that package will not see the field. That is the extent of the conditional logic. The developers are looking to add something like what you describe but have not started working on it yet.
