We’ve just installed V2 and have started adding categories and a couple of Places.
However, although the places were available on the site, after we tried to add a GD widget to the sidebar they now return a 404, but they do show on the GD home page.
Any ideas?
March 12, 2019 at 10:21 am #474133Hi John Overend,
Thanks for your post. Could you check your permalinks or try resaving it? If it doesn’t work, share your Website WP admin access here in private reply and we’ll check on it.

Something is preventing the plugins to activate, I asked to the developers to follow up.
It’d be great if you could provide FTP credentials for them too.
They’ll let you know asap.

Please ask to your hosting support if they are…
I’ve alerted the developers who will have a look at your issue as soon as possible.
Thanks
March 13, 2019 at 4:00 pm #474349Hi John,
I see no issues, do you have a link to a page that is not working or tell me how to replicate?
One thing i would change is the permalinks, with the location manager you should adjust the normal places permalinks to include either the location or something static in the url parts.
Thanks,
Stiofan
March 13, 2019 at 4:43 pm #474354Hi
I agree – it seems to be working again. But, just as the main plugin turned itself off and wouldn’t reactivate, it was back on again this morning and so we reactivated the other plugins.
I’m loathe to change the permalinks in case they affect the rest of the site – 20,000 pages! Is it necessary?
Sorry to have asked for help on something which appears to have ‘fixed’ itself.
John
March 13, 2019 at 5:02 pm #474360I’ve just gone back in to continue adding listings, and discovered that the listings already in are returning a 404 again as they were before. If you look at the temporary page we set up as a GD homepage (www.carsuk.net/motoring-directory) and click on any of the listings you can see.
March 13, 2019 at 5:23 pm #474365Hi again,
GeoDirectory permalinks only affect GeoDirectory Custom Post Types, so your pages, posts and CPT from other plugin won’t be affected.
I changed them to include full location and now it works.
Let us know if you have any other problems.
Thanks
