Its at the bottom of the email message people get when they sign up on my site

Registration is not done by GeoDirectory, but by WordPress or UsersWP etc.
Can you post an exact copy of the email here, and explain exactly when users get this?
Because just signing up on your site should not trigger an email from GD.
