Hi I have added the prices and payment plugin.

I have set paypal “Mode’ setting to “Test Mode (Sanbox), so I can test.
When I go through the process of adding a new listing and select ‘Paypal’ as my payment option then it takes me to a paypal log in. When I put my user name and password it keeps complaining about invalid user name or password. I am very sure I am using my correct user name and password for my paypal account.

Could the problem be because I have set this to “Test Mode (Sanbox)”, this mode is just for testing right?

Or could my problem be that I am using the same account?
I only have one Paypal account that I used to create my “Merchant Id”, now I am using this same account to pay this Marchant Id, could this be the problem? Do I need to paypal accounts to test this? Any suggestions on what maybe going wrong here?

    Thank you.

Test mode probably only works if you have a separate PayPal sandbox account, and you cannot use your own PP account to buy from yourself.
The only way to really test is with two different live PP accounts.

    Thanks

Guust is right, you need a sandbox login account, i have found the sandbox unreliable and i usually test PayPal with 0.01 live transactions between two live accounts.

    Thank you.
I will have my wife create a Paypal account, so I can test it with two live accounts as you suggested.

    Thank you.

Also FYI, paypal don’t want you having multiple accounts but they are ok with a personal and a business account.

Thank you good to know, that you can have two account. One personal and one business.
I did not see this on time so I created on account for my wife instead, so I could test.

    Thank you.
