Problems with font awesome

    Hi guys,

    I’m having problems with font awesome. My theme, Rémy, is loosing the icons on menu.

    You can see the issue on https://smcbr.com.br/industrias/acucar-e-alcool/ (the little squares on top menu).

    Could you help me?

    That is really a question for your theme developer.
    It works fine on the homepage, this is not a GD problem, all the GD icons work fine: https://smcbr.com.br/locais/brazil/sao-paulo/sao-bernardo-do-campo/filial/smc-filial-bauru/

    Hi,

    I’m between you and theme developer.

    I’m using the version 1.6.38 of GeoDiretory, so I understood that I need to do the update, correct?

    I’m just curious because this site was launch about 2 years ago.

    Isn’t possible to solve this using this version?

    Hi there,

    Unfortunately, we won’t be able to help much if it’s a theme related. Maybe you should try to replace/remove the fontawesome icons on the menu? I can see other FA icons working but not the ones on the navigation menu.

    WP has had a number of updates since 2017, some major ones included.
    Fontawesome has had major changes too.
    If the theme has not been updated for all that time, then that may well be the reason. It has not had an update since July 2017, so it is probably no longer compatible with the latest versions of WP or Fontawesome.

    Thanks, Guust, I got the point.
    The theme received an updated recently and I’m just trying to solve the issue.
    I was wondering if there is another way to solve the problem instead of updating the GeoDirectory to V2. I think that I will need to spend a lot of time doing this.
