I’ve reported this problem before and it still hasn’t been resolved.

When entering a listing – if the listing title has any punctuation in the name, when submitting the listing, it comes back with the title and address information missing.

What is the cause and fix for this??

    Hi,

I guess you are referring to this : https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/apostrophies-in-listing-titles/

However we couldn’t recreate the problem, could you be more precise?

Please give us an example of title that doesn’t work.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    just tested here: http://wpgeo.directory/attractions/united-states/chicago/attractions/cruisin-corvettes-of-tallahassee/

    No problems.

There must be something in your install.

Please provide a URL, admin and FTP credentials and we will have a look.

    Thanks

I added 2 test listings with the name you provided, one from front end and one from backend and they both worked fine, let us know how to recreate this?

    Stiofan,

I just went in and tried editing the listing you added. I am unable to do so. Every time I click the update button, it comes back with the “test” in the listing title and shows a message up at the top stating: The backup of this post in your browser is different from the version below.

    Please see the attached image.

    Stiofan,

I don’t know. I’m using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. I don’t know if that makes any difference.

All I did was add a listing description, changed the address, added a logo, and tried to pull test out of the listing title.

I’m having the same issue with a Chrome browser.

I can’t get the listing title changes or the address changes to save.

There are no set steps – it doesn’t matter if I enter the listing title first, or the address information first, or the web address first. It only happens if there is punctuation in the listing title.
