Hello, All. I’m super close to finishing my site thanks to the valuable and much appreciated advice provided from Guust, Paolo, Kor Chung and all the shared input from everyone here on the forum. I’ve learned a lot throughout the deployment and continue to learn just about every day.
One of the last questions I have prior to launching my site is linking to the top-level page of a CPT. Currently, a display of all the listings within a CPT show up when linking to xxxxxx.com/cpt/ Is there a way to have that top-level CPT link mirror the xxxxx.com/location page, e.g. have a map on it as well as all the categories within that CPT? If so, can that page be customizable such as the location page? I’m sure I could create a specific page for a CPT and pull over the CPT-specific shortcodes much like the location page but I realize I’d probably lose that CPT slug. I’d also prefer to have a single page should a site visitor try to type in xxxxx.com/cpt directly.
Thanks much, in advance, for any insight.
Cheers!
Kory
January 27, 2017 at 8:11 pm #350766Hi,
yes you have the exact same structure of the location page. You can add a map in the GD Listings Top Section for example and it will show just like in the GD Home and the Location page.
Please see here for more info: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/
Thank you,
January 27, 2017 at 9:03 pm #350789Hi, Paolo. Thanks for your reply. I read over the document you sent me and I see where it mentions CPT listings pages. However, I’m not seeing any pages referencing my CPTs. All I see is the single “location” page. I ran the GD pages check and don’t see the “listings” page added. I’m assuming that’s the page to work with, based on the content in the link you shared. Would you please let me know what I’m missing?
GD Home page exists with proper setting. Add Listing page exists with proper setting. Listing Preview page exists with proper setting. Listing Success page exists with proper setting. Info page exists with proper setting. Login page exists with proper setting. Location page exists with proper setting. GD Checkout page exists with proper setting. Manage Invoices page exists with proper setting.
Thanks much!

KoryJanuary 27, 2017 at 9:32 pm #350796Hi,
that’s an archive page, it doesn’t appear in your WordPress “pages”. But you have the same widget areas that you have in the GD Home and location page.
Thanks
January 27, 2017 at 9:55 pm #350808Sorry, but for some reason, I can’t wrap my head around this. Where would I add widgets if there’s no page to add them to?
January 27, 2017 at 10:08 pm #350813Hi,
please see the 2 images attached.
If you go to Appearance >> Widgets, you will see that you have widget areas for the GD Listings page.
GD Listings Top Section, GD Listings Right Sidebar, GD Listings Bottom Section.
They are activated/deactivated via GeoDirectory >> Design >> Listings.
The widgets that you see in the screenshot widget-areas, are also visible in the listing-page screenshot in the top section.
If you add the GD GMap Listings widget in that area, you will have the map like in the Location page.
Hope it’s clearer now.
Let us know,
Thanks

January 28, 2017 at 5:47 pm #351264One more related question, if you don’t mind, Paolo.
I’m using the GD Map Homepage widget on each of the CPT root pages. I was hoping that the map on the each CPT page would take on the CPT itself, e.g. the /stores/ page map would take on the /stores/ CPT listings. I see under GD –> Design –> Map where to set the “Default post type search on map.” Is there a way to disable that functionality and have the CPT map reference the CPT category for each CPT root page?
Thanks much!
January 28, 2017 at 8:01 pm #351320Hi,
you are using the wrong map. That’s to be used in home and locatn page only.i
Please use the GD GMap Listings page.
Thanks
January 29, 2017 at 12:04 am #351419Okay, I switched it to the GM listings shortcode using a text widget here:
[gd_listing_map width=100% height=390 scrollwheel=true autozoom=true marker_cluster=1]
I also have the number of listings to display set to “six.” I see that only six listings show up on the map. Is there a way to have all the listings in a CPT show up on the map without displaying all the listings on a page?
January 30, 2017 at 4:24 pm #352001That’s not possible, the GD Listings map will only show the listings that are appearing on the list too.
Thanks
February 12, 2017 at 11:18 am #360552Hi, Paolo. I did some searching on this and came across several mentions that it may be possible to do this in the next release. Since the latest release just came out last week, would you please tell me if that’s the case? I didn’t see mention of it in the release notes unless I missed it.
Thanks much.

KoryFebruary 12, 2017 at 7:59 pm #360987That’s not possible on listings pages.
