Question on Verifying/Approving Paid listing claims

    Am I able to confirm the listing before accepting payment on a pay-required package?

    I see the approve button is in the notice I receive when someone is seeking to claim the listing but hasn’t paid yet. What happens when the payment is recieved? Am I still required to approve it manually?

    I’d like to ensure that someone can’t just pay for a listing I haven’t verified yet.

    There are options in GDV2 Claim Listing to auto-approve a claim if a paid package is purchased. The setting is at:
    WP Backend – GeoDirectory – Settings – Claim (tab)

    There is also ‘auto-approve for email match’.

    Is that what you are looking for?

    I’m looking for guidance on the issue.

    On the one hand, payment is a substantial barrier to fraudulent claims – but what’s to stop a person from paying the featured listing fee to claim a business that isn’t theirs? Is the system set up to automatically check that in a way that I’m missing?

    It is an exceedingly rare occurrence. All claims can be manually approved. Maybe the answer is to approve them manually until you feel some comfort with the process.
