Questions GD V2 with Supreme

Hi, I uploaded Geodirectory V2 with Supreme theme.
This new version is great!
However, I have some questions.

1)I am using Supreme child theme for V2. If I modify the theme, I will lose changes in next upgrade.
Did not find where to put scripts:

Are this plugins compatible with GD?

2) Images in detail page:
2-1) there is a weird behavior, in detail page. When I load images, they disappear from the loading sidebar place. In addition, when it comes to the category page is showing another image, as featured image, for this place, because does not update changes.
2-2) I edit caption and alt text in media library, but the caption not appears as a layer in slider or in gallery.
2-3) Slider loads faster than gallery images, and rows design is better. Therefore, I think that maybe I will use the slider instead the photo tab. If I do this, I have to put 250 characters before the slider. Do not know how to add text area there. Other option is to remove the slider and opt for a list in which case I want to use a list. I could not find where to do this in version 2.

3) Excerpt in category page:
In category, each place shows with an excerpt, which I think is very useful. Also has a read more link, which opens in same place, but I cannot close it. When I click the read more link, in the grid layout, if the place description is long, this does not look good. Is there a way to limit maximum characters to show or link instead, to the place detail page? I found the short code but I could not figure how to change this.
