Dear Members,
today we released v1.2.7 of the core plugin.
You can see change log here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/change-logs/#v1.2.7
We also released:
Multilocation v1.1.3
Prices and Payments v1.0.8
Events v1.0.9
Claim Listings v1.0.6
Ratings and Reviews v1.0.6Change log for the addons is available in the download page.
Make sure to update everything to avoid strange behaviours and as usual please report any problem or bug in the appropriate sections.
Thank you,
the team!
p.s. we jumped from v1.2.4 to 1.2.7 because a glitch in SVN (wordpress repository) didn’t allow us to tag the proper version number.
October 22, 2014 at 8:43 pm #19141Thanks for all the updates guys, it’s very cool.
Is it possible to rename the actual items on the download page to match your list here?
Multilocation = GeoDir Location Manager
Prices and Payments = GeoDir Payment ManagerJust a thought.
October 22, 2014 at 8:46 pm #19143Thx Jeff, I can’t unfortunately. We can’t change the files name without breaking the autoupdate.
October 22, 2014 at 8:48 pm #19144So the text description is the filename, but stripped?
I’m not talking about the filenames.
October 22, 2014 at 8:53 pm #19146I know there are a couple of functions linked to file name and file title. 1 is for security and another 1 for autoupdate. I really need to ask Stiofan, to know if that can be changed.
Thx

this doesn’t appear to be due to a php error, static files (like any css or image) would be visible but in your case they are not.
The server appears to be down. Can you connect to it via FTP?
I doubt it has something to do with the update, cause nobody today reported a similar problem, but in any case I’d first contact the server administrator to ask them why the server is down.
It could be due to something else.
Let us know,
Thx
October 23, 2014 at 12:39 am #19164Can you connect to it via FTP?
Yes, I can… I’ve just removed the .htaccess to see if this would make a difference, but nothing. :/
October 23, 2014 at 1:15 am #19165I must add, that it only disappeared when I clicked the update button for GD.

- If no rating star selected for review then it should save minimum 1 rating
Does this mean that if someone is “just commenting” on a listing that they have to provide a rating, and if they don’t it will result in a 1 star rating?
If that’s the case, then I’d propose a reconsideration. This means if someone is perhaps posing a question based on another comment, then they will be affecting the overall rating, no matter what they select.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding the change note though.
cheers
October 23, 2014 at 2:43 pm #19235Hi @ocmedialtd,
that error would appear only if GeoDirectory is deactivated and the addons are not.
Try renaming your plugins folder to something like plugins_old.
That should deactivate all plugins and make your website come back.
Than you can rename it correctly and reactivate the plugins, making sure GD is activated before addons.
When updating, did you update both GD and all addons all together?
To track down this problem I would need to know the exact operations you did right before this happened.
Let us know,
Thx
October 23, 2014 at 3:11 pm #19247Hi Identity,
honestly, I don’t know what that means and why it was added. I asked Stiofan and he was surprised too.
We can’t find any trace for this in the project manager. I asked Kiran to let us know, but he’s taking off from today till the 28th for Diwali (major Indian holiday), so I can’t give a straight answer till then.
We’ll keep you posted.
Thx
October 23, 2014 at 3:26 pm #19256Hi Paolo,
I only selected to update GD, not the add-ons. Upon update, the site disappeared. It was only after my support ticket that I tried to download, upload and replace the add-ons.
I will try your suggestion now.
October 23, 2014 at 5:04 pm #19277Just to let you know, I have implemented your suggestion and everything is working fine now! 🙂
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Rob
