No, that isn’t the way it works. The fallback images apply to all instances of GD Post Images.

To do that you will need to create a custom image field and use GD Post Meta to display it. Any instance of GD Post Images will use fallback images and there isn’t a workaround that I know of. I will flag your topic for the developers in case they know a workaround.

    Hi,

I want the fall back picture to be there on the gd archive and gd archive item but not on gd details page.

If listing has no image uploaded then it will use default category image as a fallback image. To hide default category image, it should be removed from category image.

    Hi Alex and Kiran,

Thank you so much for your response.
Kiran, as per your instruction, I removed the image from:

    CPT Category Default Listing Image
    CPT Default Listing Image
Default listing image for Archive page display

    and also from
First (Featured) image uploaded to the listing post_images field

Now, I do not have my default image in the gd archive item as well as on gd_details obviously, because I removed it from everywhere. Where do I insert my default image in order to just have it display on gd archive item?

    Thanks

That is not possible. However I have made a note of your request and the developers will consider adding that feature in a future version.

For now you can use the advice here if you like: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/post_images-fall-back-order/
