Removing Map From Home Page

    Is it possible to remove the map from home page? And instead have ads running based on geo location? The reason is the map is panned far away and doesn’t seem to ever zoom in to my geo location set to near. I am not sure if it is supposed to. Please let me know thanks.

    If you want the map to zoom, you have to set the maps to auto-zoom in the GD Home Map widget.
    You can remove the map by removing that widget.
    GD has no ad widget that is based on the location, but you can use the GD Popular Post widget to have listings based on the location.
    Let me know if I misunderstood the question.

    It looks like the map is embedded into the template. i’m not seeing the geo map work to location it shows the entire country not sure if that is how it works. I also tried to increase the number of popular places on the right hand column but it won’t increase. i appreciate your help.

    Hi Sheridan, can you post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply, so I can check your settings.
    What you are trying to achieve is done using the widgets: Appearance > widgets
    You will need to adjust the GD Home Map widget settings and the Popular Post widget in the sidebar if I am understanding you correctly.

    It seems you have some caching going on, but I cannot find it. Are you on a GoDaddy WordPress server?

    Hi,

    you are not using the GD home as your home page, you are using a custom page with a shortcode in the header.
