Running multiple directories on one site?

    Very new user. Tried searching for an answer before adding this question.

    In the WP interface it’s not always clear what installing GeoDirectory has done. I finally figured out that Places was created. Events too? Is there a way to create additional directories, or is it better to use categories in Places? I need different fields though.

    Thanks for your post. If you wish to create events, you’ll have to purchase this addon https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/events/ . No, you can only create a single directory on a Website. But in a single directory, you can have lots of CPT’s and you need a category for each of your listings. You can refer to the custom fields section of the documentation here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/custom/ that explains about creating new fields.

    So every entry would have to have the same data fields? I haven’t seend where the data fields can be modified. Or can they?

    Hello,

    with the Custom Post Types addon you can create as many different types of listings as you want, and they can all have different fields and different categories.

    The free plugin is limited to a single post type, places.
