I added the shortcodes for city/region/country and it returns a blank page… even when I click on the links. could it be a problem with the server/hosting, or is it more likely an incompatible plugin.

Relevanssi and Lingotek do not work with GD:

Try deleting all your pages in the trash. Your /gd-home/ page works, and your /location/ page, so there must be some issue with a conflict with the country and region slugs that is breaking your location pages.
