Search Function Not Working

    I posted the other day as I was unable to update some of the main GD plugins and my users could not log in. Kor replied to my post and advised to deactivate and reactivate my licence keys which I duly did and it resolved both issues.

    However, this morning I had a user email me to say she was unable to update her listing or add any images as it was telling here there was ‘no temp file’. I did a test update as if I were a site user and this seemed to work okay but was a few hours after she highlighted the issue.

    Now, this evening – MOST IMPORTANTLY- the search function is not working. The geo map on the homepage will not show and just shows the waiting wheel thing. The search function also does not work in any capacity either for location or keywords from the homepage or elsewhere on the site.

    I have checked plugins and all seem fine, no messages or errors on my admin area.

    Any idea what is causing this- seems to be all sorts of issues with the site in turn and no explanation? A bit annoying as now the main function of the site isn’t working.

    Please suggest what may be causing the problem and how to resolve.

    I cleared the GD BOoster site cache and the map came back.

    Let us know if that doesn’t work for you next time.

    What search did you try? I tried ‘classical’ and it was the first listing on the search return.

    Let us know if there are more issues.

    I tried various searches – various locations around the UK and keywords, and listed yard name. It works now though thank you Alex.

    I’ve never had this issue before. Is clearing the cache something that should be done regularly? If so, where on the admin do I find this? I always worry that clearing things may lose data!?

    Sometimes, if there are inexplicable phenomenae, then it is a go-to.

    To clear it try :

    GD Booster – Clear (button at the top on the right)
