Search Title – is it possible to display the text of custom fields used in a search filter after ‘Search Results For:’ ?

Using Elementor, the ‘GD Search’ widget does not appear respond to its shortcode settings of ‘Open when searched’ or ‘Always open’. It remains closed. Is there a workaround?

Also in Elementor Pro, I used the widget ‘GD Listings’ for the listing results to create an Elementor Search Template. Is this wrong? Because it doesn’t respond to search queries or filters, it just displays all listings. Should I be using the standard ‘Archive posts’ widget instead (which I’d need to format to GD styling)? Or should I use the shortcodes from the default GD Archive List Item page in my Elementor Search template?

Thank you once again in advance for your help.

    Use shortcodes instead.

For the Archives and Details templates you will need to use the Pro theme builder.

Thanks for confirming that Alex, I’ll try using shortcodes in Elementor for Search archive listings. I am using Pro and have set up the Search Archive template correctly.

I still don’t know how to keep the search filters in open status in Elementor – I want to show a filters sidebar on archive pages. It works fine in the theme sidebar, but doesn’t seem to work in an Elementor container using the GD Search widget.

Displaying which filters are applied to search results, such as ‘results filtered by:…’ would be helpful – again I can’t see a way to do that.

    Use shortcodes instead:

    [gd_search customize_filters="always"]

Displaying which filters are applied to search results, such as ‘results filtered by:…’ would be helpful – again I can’t see a way to do that.

    GD > Settings > General tab > Search sub-tab >
Display searched parameters with title? > YES

    Thanks
