search problems

I seem to have some problems between the drop down category options and the fill in options in the search bar here: https://twicegifted.org/search-places__trashed/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&spost_category%5B%5D=113&s=+&snear=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=

If I fill in “After-School program” via autofill, I get results. If I just do the drop down option and leave the search empty, I get all the place listing and event listing results. If I put in a random word like “gifted” in the search tab, I get all the event and place listings with the ‘gifted’ word.

I just want to be able to search properly so that people can access different categorized places via distance to their location.

Hello,

there is definitely a plugin or theme conflict that is effecting the search.

Have you already tried changing theme and disabling non-GD addons?

Can you make a copy of your site to a staging/test site?

The conflict test is about diagnosing the issue.

You can try changing the theme to see if the issue is resolved, in which case we can take a look at the theme to see if it is something that can be fixed. Same for the plugins.
