Hello! I recently installed the plugin, paid for the location manager add on, installed the supreme theme, and have integrated with google maps. My site is https://www.caff.org/farmdirectory/. Before I go in and make a bunch of edits to fit the needs of my directory, I want to make sure all of the functionality is working. My site is currently loaded with dummy data. When I type in “buddakan” in the ‘search for’ bar and then click the search button I don’t get anything in the search results, even though if I look at the map I can click on buddakan and it will take me to the listing for that page. If I try to run other searches I am running into the same problem. Any idea what is going on and how to fix this?

As a side note, I am using the “multiple themes” plugin to manage the supreme theme on the directory pages because the rest of the site uses a different theme. My supreme theme only partly looks like the one in the demo on your site – https://wpgeo.directory/supreme-directory/. It doesn’t have any of the tabs across the top that the demo has and the layout of the listings is pretty different as well. Again, I would like to have everything properly set up before I make a bunch of edits.

Thanks a lot for your help

Ok thanks, although it seems like I still have the same problem if I click on one of the icons like ‘hotels’ or ‘attractions.’ What exactly do you mean you created the search archive? Where can I locate the search archive?

So I can try to be more self-sufficient with building this in the future, how would I have figured that out on my own – i.e. is there a way I could have known that I needed to create the search archive?

You asked about the search page, and it is working now. It looks to me like, before that Archive was created, that another theme or plugin was blocking the loop on the search page. Overriding it with an Elementor layout works. Find it in the Templates -> Theme builder section in the backend.

GDV2 will work with any theme. Why not use just one theme?

Have you tried the details page with your theme?

I didn’t realize GDV2 can work with any theme. Ok I will just use the theme that is currently on the site. Did you import a template or create one from scratch? And what do you mean when you ask “Have you tried the details page with your theme?”- just not sure what that means. Thanks for your help!

Did you import a template or create one from scratch?

I created it from scratch but used the default content. Read about GD Templates and builders here:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/templates/
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/builders/

And what do you mean when you ask “Have you tried the details page with your theme?”- just not sure what that means.

I mean have you tried using GD without a second theme or a plugin that forces a second theme on gd pages?

Please also take a quick glance through our docs
