    Hi,

Is there some way to sort the GD search results by price package, that is, the paid ones first and then the free ones?

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much for your attention.

    Best regards.

    Hi jotomas,

Thanks for your post. Yes, you can achieve this with the “Payments manager” addon. Enable “Is Featured” option https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/prices-and-payments-add-on-overview/#prices for paid listings.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kor,

    Thank you for your reply.

I already have “Payments Manager” AddOn enabled.

I am planning to configure three Prices, one Free and two Paid, the top level paid one will use the “Is Featured” option.

What I want to achieve is to get the search results sorted in this way:

    1) Top Level Paid Price (“Featured”).
    2) Second Level Paid Price (not “Featured”).
    3) Free.

Is there some way to achieve this?

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

Sorting is only for Listings pages, not Search results.
Search results are always ordered by relevance according to what the visitor has searched.
    Please see more at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#sorting

    Thanks

    Hi Guust,

    Thank you for your letter.

I have some difficulty in understanding the concept of relevance related to the order of search results.

    1) If the user selects some specific Category, inserts some keyword and select some filters corresponding to custom fields, which is the order of relevance that determines the order of the search results?

    2) If the user does not select anything, but simply hits the magnifying glass button of the search form, would not be the correct order of relevance to show first the paid GD posts starting by the more expensive ones, then the less expensive ones and ending with the free ones?

    3) Otherwise, what defines this relevance and how does it apply?

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

The search will check the listings’ titles, description and taxonomies (tags and categories).

    1) Every listing will be returned by the search that has the keyword, but then it is filtered by the other selections so it will only show listings with the keyword that are in the selected category and that match the custom field requested.

    2) In this case, the sorting order set for the CPT will be used.

    3) https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/searching-and-browsing/#search

    Thanks
