100% correct.
the latest FTP details you provided, are working fineNovember 18, 2014 at 7:03 pm #21884Hi,
I just had a quick look. The missing virtual pages are there, they are just in published status and will work.
The error appear to be a wrong redirect after sending to a freind, that misses to include the CPT name before the listing slug in the URL.
I though it could be a bug due to permalinks setting, because you removed all location and category from URL, but I can’t recreate it in our test websites.
It could be a function in the theme and the only way to know for sure would be to activate momentarly a theme like 2012 to see if the problem persists.
Could you try, or do you mind me giving it a try?
Let me know,
Thx
November 18, 2014 at 8:39 pm #21897Hi Paolo,
I would not mind if you try but I have done this in the past to see what happens and it caused for my entire homepage in the Arcade theme to be rebuilt so I would prefer not to revert to another theme to check this.
Would it be useful to try and recreate the events in my current site first?
thanks
November 18, 2014 at 9:19 pm #21899Hi,
I’ve seen what it happens on your website and I can’t recreate it in any of our test websites.
Given that without plugin is still doing it, the major suspect can only be a theme function.
Without trying to activate another theme we can’t be sure and we can’t really proceed in any other way.
Isn’t there a way to back your home page?
Let us know,
November 19, 2014 at 12:02 pm #21923Hi Paolo,
Ok, go for it – I have back up as much as I can for the current theme. The site is no using the theme 2013 so you can check. Please let me know when you are ready so I can revert everything.
thanks again!
MarreNovember 19, 2014 at 12:18 pm #21927I have just tested and in 2013 the page is shown without an error:http://newsite.eat-amsterdam.com/places/fa-pekelhaaring-amsterdam/?sendtofrnd=success
I’m not sure whether that is good or bad news when I specifically want to use the Arcade theme for my client…..
November 19, 2014 at 3:40 pm #21937Hi Paolo,
Any luck with testing?
thanks, marre
November 19, 2014 at 4:18 pm #21939Hi again,
that means that the buggy redirect comes from the theme.
Does the theme author offer any support? Getting him to have a look into this would probably cut the time to find a solution by 90%.
Let us know,
Thx
November 20, 2014 at 7:20 am #21995Hi Paolo,
I have asked the question to the theme author. I’ll let you know as soon as he has replied.
thanks
November 20, 2014 at 7:25 am #21996With regards to the virtual pages – do I now need to remove the code that I used from my functions.php file or do I leave the code in it?
November 21, 2014 at 2:01 am #22137You can remove it, you have all the virtual pages in order…
November 21, 2014 at 4:14 pm #22186Hi Paolo,
I got feed back from the theme developer that this should fix the problem. Would you mind checking this for me in the functions.php file. I am scared to drew everything up that I have done so far, since I am not so good with these technical things….
Theme author writes:
I’ve found the issue with the redirect in Arcade. It’s due to some code that was needed in order to make the Grid template work. I figured a workaround that will be released in the next update. For now you can go in and delete this block of code from functions.php:
add_filter( 'redirect_canonical', 'bavotasan_redirect_canonical', 10, 2 ); /** * Redirect fix if Grid page template is set as static front page * * This function is attached to the 'redirect_canonical' filter hook. * * @since 1.0.8 */ function bavotasan_redirect_canonical( $requested_url, $do_redirect ) { return $do_redirect; }
Look forward to hearing from you!
And thanks again

Sorry if this sound a bit harsh, but we don’t provide support for 3rd party products.
If you don’t feel confident deleting that piece of code, please ask the Theme Author to help you with that. It’s his product after all.
Thanks
November 21, 2014 at 4:21 pm #22190Hi
Ok, I understand. I’ll try. Say a little prayer for me that it will not mess everything up 🙂
