Hi, I’ve been having some issues with social importer for the past few months. I raised this in November and am only now getting to this again – apologies for this. Please see screenshot attached with earlier conversation (that feed was closed due to inactivity – hence why I’ve started a new thread).
When I import an event it makes the start date a day earlier than it should be, it doesn’t import the description and the image doesn’t display until I hit publish. See screenshots for example of this. I just tried to import an event using this website. You can see from the Facebook post that it’s on the 10th July, but importer brings it up as the 9th. https://www.facebook.com/events/337699363677420/
Thank you,
Katie.February 5, 2019 at 10:44 pm #467316This reply has been marked as private.February 6, 2019 at 12:53 am #467335This reply has been marked as private.February 6, 2019 at 2:26 pm #467412Hello Katie,

Actually date are imported with the timezone of the event location. So we have to decide whether to convert it to website site time zone or to as it is displayed on the FB page.
I will let you know once we fix with this.

Thanks for your email. Just thought I’d check in to see how this fix was going?
Also, my frontend-developer has asked about Geodirectory V2. Is this available yet? If not, do you have a date in mind for when it’s likely to be ready/ Thank you.
katieFebruary 11, 2019 at 8:03 pm #468277Hello,
the developers will provide an update as soon as possible.
GDV2 is available now
February 11, 2019 at 8:21 pm #468282Thanks Alex. With Geodirctory version 2 are you recommending that people transfer over now or wait a while? I’m only asking as it says “we invite you to test the future of Geodirectory”, which makes me think it’s perhaps still very much in its testing stage and perhaps I’m best not to use it just yet. I have an active site with paid users, so if it’s still in its testing phase I’d prefer to wait until bugs have been ironed out before crossing over. Can you please advise.
Thanks, KatieFebruary 11, 2019 at 9:30 pm #468308It has been released and we are actively supporting it.

Will wait to hear more from the developers re social importer.

Event link you posted in previous reply has not any categories assigned. Please re-save the event with valid data.
For the error i debugged and found following message:
[190] Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons. Please regenerate access token and try again OR you can try with “Enable Direct URL Parse” from GeoDirectory > Social Importer > Facebook.
Let us know.
