    Hi!

I’m trying to get the “Social Like” buttons on to the home page before the fold, ideally at the same level of the menu buttons. I can only get them to be slightly below the fold (the point where you have to scroll down) and the Facebook icon doesn’t seem to launch–it launches for half a second and then disappears. It is really important to me that people be able to easily find and use these social like buttons easily and that they are prominent.

I’m new to WorldPress and not technical.

    Thanks for all your help–

    Kate

    Hello,

it looks like you figured out how to remove popular categories etc.

Can you share the page URL where the image is not fullscreen?

I took a look at the front page, everything seems ok there.

Thanks! I decided that I’m going to fiddle with the front page once I’ve gotten other aspects of the site rolling, so want to close this issue for now if that’s ok.

Ok, I’m back. Basically, I don’t want the map to be on the first screen that people see. I want the photo to cover the whole screen. Here is a link to the way the website looks on various devices: http://www.responsinator.com/?url=mortgagejustice.net

It looks ok right now on computers and pads, but the map takes up half the screen on phones.

    I appreciate all your help.

    Hello,

it sounds like you might want to create your own Front Page. You can do that by creating a WordPress page, adding whatever content you want to it, including GD Shortcodes, and then setting it as the WP Front page at WordPress – Settings – Reading – Front page – Static page (choose your new page here).

You can leave the GD Permalinks setting for GD Home as is. The Home page widget settings are used on every location page, so you probably want to leave the map on that one.

If you want to make big changes to the layout you can choose a different theme, one of the ones we offer or try a 3rd party theme and find one that looks the way you want.

Let us know how it goes

Thank you–I will look into it and appreciate the ideas (it may take me a while to figure this one out as I am not very technical).

    Cheers,

    Kate
