    not able to bet the social importer working?

    We get this message after entering our APP ID and APP SECRET

    Have you submitted the app for review by Facebook and have they approved it?
    You are better off using the “Enable Direct URL Parse” option, because Facebook takes ages to approve your app.

    the “Enable Direct URL Parse” option does not work, it simply keeps spinning and never pulls in the details?

    Try this, that works: https://www.facebook.com/directory.plugin.for.wordpress
    So it may be related to something to do with your address setup.
    I’ll get a developer to have a closer look.

    Ok please let me know when we can expect an answer, as this was one of the main reasons we have this directory. It was working fine before the upgrade.

    Before the upgrade from V1?
    Then you would have been using App keys and secret?
    And you would have submitted the app for review by Facebook and they did approve it?

    When we originally purchased this directory theme we linked the app from facebook to Geo in a couple of easy steps, it worked instantly. since the update it does not work.

    We have also just noticed that the re-post to Facebook does not work from the back end?

    Also if a place or event is submitted it no longer posts to the Facebook page?

    GDV2 no longer has social share functionality built in, the idea being that there are 3rd party plugins that are focused on that functionality.

    It sounds like the “Enable Direct URL Parse” option is working for you. As Guust states the permissions required for the app to function, well, FB seems hard pressed to approve them.

    The developers will share a comment about any changes in the API requests between SIV1 and SIV2 that might account for the behavior you are reporting.

    “Enable Direct URL Parse” is not working, I have had to temporarily remove it as we have lots of complaints that it is not working. Please can this be looked into further. It has only worked once with your facebook page.
