Hi,
I would like to create a “Special Offers” page with only the listings that has publisched somethings on the special offers field that I have prepared.
Best thing would be to show directly the offers text and not simply listings.
Is it possible?January 23, 2020 at 4:17 pm #527054Hi Periwinkle,
Thanks for your post. Instead of featured listings, you can try using the method from this article https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/featured-listings/ . Then, setup a new badge for this Special Offer https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/design/gd-badge/ .
January 23, 2020 at 4:23 pm #527055GD Listings element has a setting for “Special Offers Only”.
Try making a new page ‘Special Offers’ with a shortcode like:
[gd_listings post_type="gd_place" post_limit="5" add_location_filter="1" show_special_only="1" sort_by="az" title_tag="h3" layout="1" view_all_link="1" bottom_pagination="1"]January 30, 2020 at 4:38 pm #528079But with this code I see all the listings and not only the ones that have set something on the special offer field. And anyway when I click on this listing it give me the 400 Bad Request message

February 1, 2020 at 12:48 am #528314It may be that permalinks need to be resaved as described here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/permalinks/#404
The shortcode above will show all listings that have anything in the special offers field. If it is not working like that for you please share credentials and a link to the page.

About the page not found error:
you are using OSM and have used the option “Disable move map pin from changing address fields” in the location tab advanced settings. I recommend you turn that back on. It can result in trying to save listings with incomplete address information. Somehow you saved a listing with no city and so the URL was incomplete so it showed page not found.
About the special offers:
Are you trying to show professionals with special offers, or another CPT?
I can see that GD Listings is not displaying the listings with special offers only.
Your GeoDirectory plugin needs an update. If you update and the issue persists, please write back.

The filter in shortcode works for Special offer custom field. Seems you have created a custom special offer field. which have a different key and causing that issue.
I have changed it to default special offer field now. Please have a look.
Thanks again for your patience.
Have a Great Day
Kind Regards
