Any news?
Need to know if you think you can get the avada theme to function properly with wpgeo, or if its a lost cause.
Thanks
February 16, 2015 at 4:39 pm #31060Please let me know if this is something you are exploring fixing. Or if I need to go ahead and make arrangements to change the theme to something other than Avada.
Thank you
February 16, 2015 at 4:55 pm #31062Hi Bob,
as far as I know you are the last member left having problems with Avada.
Stiofan will be looking into your website asap.
Thanks
February 16, 2015 at 5:14 pm #31068Hi Paolo,
I raised an Avada issue yesterday also so perhaps it could be looked at after this issue. It was the menu missing on Samsung tablet size screen.
Thanks,
Adrian
February 16, 2015 at 5:21 pm #31070OK thanks for the details, you had not made the changes to the child theme header.php (i have done that now).
I also noticed that in your child theme styles.css you have a load of PHP, this is most likely the cause of any style errors/problems u see.
Thanks,
Stiofan
February 16, 2015 at 5:34 pm #31072Thanks for looking at this.
I dont understand what you mean by having a load of php in the styles.css . I have not modified those sheets at all. Please explain so I can better understand and see if i could fix.
The only things I ever added to header or footer sheets were google analytics tracking codes.
February 16, 2015 at 5:40 pm #31074Also just checked /listings/ page. The gd map on that page is very very wide now. It goes way outside the area that it should be in. I tried reducing the size, and the space it takes up did not shrink, but the map got smaller within that area.
February 16, 2015 at 5:45 pm #31075Go to: http://yoursite.com/wp-admin/theme-editor.php
Select file style.css and you will notice there are lines like:
background-color:<?php echo get_post_meta($c_pageID, 'pyre_header_bg_color', true); ?>;PHP code is not executed in a css file. I don’t know who copied that code inside that file, but he definitely didn’t know what he was doing.
You should remove it all.
Thanks
February 16, 2015 at 5:48 pm #31076the map in listings page looks correct to me… can you explain how it should look in your vision?
thx
February 16, 2015 at 5:51 pm #31077Who would have done that, I never mess with these files? Is it just that one line?
The Avada theme recently had an update, do you think this was part of the latest update from avada theme?
February 16, 2015 at 5:55 pm #31078Everything below
/* General elements
————————————————— */Should be removed.
To be honest with you, I have no idea where it comes from. Maybe you could ask that in the Avada support forum?
Thx
February 16, 2015 at 5:57 pm #31079here are screen shots of the map from my side
what is it that you consider normal?
February 16, 2015 at 6:01 pm #31081Something tells me that the theme css that you call errors, are manipulated withing the “Theme Options” tool, and are inserted there via that. If I remove those files wont all the styling of the theme go away?
February 16, 2015 at 6:04 pm #31082got the map to fit in the margin area it was before by choosing boxed style vs wide.
The map is pulling differently than before for deciding how wide to be, before I had the wide style and the map was not like that.
February 16, 2015 at 6:11 pm #31083About the map, please see image attached.
PHP code isn’t executed in a css file. I don’t think Avada child theme was provided with that code inside but let me remind you that we don’t provide support for the Avada theme, other than for integrating GD with its templates.
Please report any doubts you have about Avada and it’s file in their support forum.
Thank you
