Another weird issue is the 2 stats counters at the bottom of the page below the footer. The globe is supposed to be located in the 4th footer widget area and the rectangle stats counter is supposed to be in a sidebar. For some weird reason they are both appearing below the footer area, outside of anything.

I will check the background color settings, The background color shows as plain white in body area. It should have color to it. The background color has not shown correctly since the major update was installed weeks ago. I thought it was due to the theme comparability issues. I will try to change colors now, but this may still be an issue.

Thanks for having a look at this, i appreciate, I will look over today and let you know if I find anything else.

    Hello Stiofan,

Just realized that the search bar stopped showing after the update. Also I tried adding GD home map to gd home page top widget. Also does not show. Looks like the GD Home top widget, or any Top Widgets stopped showing. So the GD working with the theme is messed up.

I also think that would explain why I saw a huge drop in the directory/me/ pages, like I asked about in another post last week.

would you please check if the fix provided here is fixing your problem too?

From the info I have, it should…

    p.s. just a quick tip.

when building a website with opensource products, were other developers product are involved and server configuration could be different, you should always have 1 live website and 1 staging website.

Updates should never be performed on the live website unless you confirmed that there were no conflicts after updating your staging website 1st.

The only way we could confirm that an update will not break anything in your website is that you are using the latest version of WordPress in a standard server configuration, with ONLY GD products installed. Meaning not even one 3rd party theme or plugin installed.

    Thx

the login details are above. Could you please enter that into the core where it is supposed to go. I am not a programmer, i will mess it up more than fix it.

    Hi Bob,

we would need FTP, that folder isn’t reachable via wordpress backend.

It is only a matter of overwriting a file with another one. There is no programming involved in this.

    Thx
