Hi,
I have a few start-up issues while testing the core Plugin (in also installed Locations)
1. A location of a Test-Place (I included adress, number, postal code) is not accepted. In the backend I get the following message:
Geocode was not successful for the following reason: ZERO_RESULTS
2. How can I edit the front end display of listings. Currently, the data like Phone, Email, URL etc. are not shown…
3. How can I edit the ‘Tabs’ on the front-end (i.e. delete Reviews)
Please help me out so I can quickly invite our core partners to start putting in their data and have it displayed immediately in the right way.
Best
Michiel
March 19, 2017 at 3:31 pm #368453Hi Michiel,
Let me try to answer your questions accordingly.
#1 We would need WP Admin Credentials to check on this issue.
#2 Here are the settings to configure that https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#show
#3 Refer to this https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-disable-reviews/
Thanks!

You need to use the Google address selections, or drag the marker. The Google API is a bit sensitive if you use a different format than it expects.
2. Looks like you fixed it.
3. GD > Design > Detail tab > Exclude selected tabs from detail page
If you remove the More Info tab/section, you will have to move some fields like phone etc to the sidebar or somewhere else.
Also implement what Kor said.4. I also allowed maps to be shown again for listings at GD > Design > Maps tab > SHOW / HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP.
Thanks

GD > Multilocations > City
I changed it for you.Thanks

I am on my way now and I think basically almost there..
One more question: There are totally differente categories in the directory. Is is possible to have differente menu items for selected categories. In my case: I would like to have a differente menu item for our ‘Restaurant guide’ on our site (categorie “restaurants”), for Real Estate (‘onroerend goed’) and maybe later also for ‘Hotels’. Currently alle places can be browsed from the menu item GD Home Page (currently in my footer menu, by means of testing), but can I thus make a similar menu item GD Home Page – Restaurants and GD Home Page – Real Estate etc.
Hope you can help me on this so we can move on with our restaurant guide at first.

MichielMarch 23, 2017 at 10:02 pm #369421Not totally sure I understand, it sort of depends on what you intend to have in the menu.
You can create as many menus as you like at Appearance > Menus.
You can add any menu to a widget by using the “custom menu” widget at Appearance > widgets.
You can control where widgets display using the “Widget Logic” plugin, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#logicThanks

That’s not exactly what i mean. Let’s put it this way:Can I have more then one menu item that alle give a look and feel of the current home page but where different categories are being disclosed. So in fact I would still have one directory in the backend, but have different entrances for differente categories.
For examenple, on my menu item Restaurant Guide, I only want to display Places with category ‘Restaurant’ on the map and below the map. This is but a part of the total content within the directory which will be shown elsewhere on the site.
Am I clear enough?

MichielMarch 25, 2017 at 11:37 pm #369890Look at your main menu now, the last item “location”. Is that what you mean?
In Weergave > Menus, tick “scherminstellingen” and then tick “place categories”.
That allows you to add any category to the menu. -
