hi guys
I have recently switched to version 2 and I have just noticed I have 3 Sub Category pages that are not loading. I have reset the permalinks and resaved the sub category but that doesn’t change anything. I cannot work out what the issue is so wondered if you can take a look.Main Category

Can we have FTP details too in a private reply please.

I checked & found that category base slug & city slug conflicts. Please change category slug to other than perth(ex: perth-city).

October 22, 2019 at 11:11 am #514262Thanks Kiran – we’ve made that change and changed the category URL to “kids” but this hasn’t fixed the issue. Now we have noticed all the category url’s have “Perth” added to them at the end? This only happens when you click on the links through Google search and NOT when you use the website main navigation bars. So I’m assuming “Perth” is being added by the automatic redirection that GD has from the GV2 update?
Is there anything else/anywhere else that could be adding this to the category URL’s, I think it’s the URL redirection through GD?
This URL isn’t working as well as a few other categories when accessed through the website navigation: https://www.buggybuddys.com.au/things-to-do/kids/playgrounds-with-water-play
BUT works if you add PERTH at the end of the url: https://www.buggybuddys.com.au/things-to-do/kids/playgrounds-with-water-play/perth/This URL: https://www.buggybuddys.com.au/things-to-do/perth/school-holiday-activities-perth/ which is currently ranking on google
is redirecting to: https://www.buggybuddys.com.au/things-to-do/kids/school-holiday-activities-perth/perth/October 22, 2019 at 11:20 am #514263I changed it to “category”.
Most likely “kids” is creating another conflict.
You cannot use anything there that is already used by WordPress.
Google will take some time to update its records if you change permalinks.October 22, 2019 at 11:23 am #514264No the page still doesn’t work even with the word category
https://www.buggybuddys.com.au/things-to-do/category/nature-playgrounds-perth/
But it does if you add ‘perth’ on the end
https://www.buggybuddys.com.au/things-to-do/category/nature-playgrounds-perth/perthOctober 22, 2019 at 11:19 pm #514355I changed the word again to TOPIC then reverted it back to Perth and now it’s adding TOPIC to the end of the url’s. So it’s definitely a bug in the redirection code. I have changed it back to PERTH now as the fixes that were suggested haven’t worked.
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE LOOK AT THIS URGENTLY AS WE’RE LOSING 1,000’S OF VISITS A DAY AS THE REDIRECTS ARE BRINGING UP 404 ERRORS ON SOME PAGES!

I checked and found that when “category” is used as a category base slug there is something conflicts with some urls which contains -perth in category slug.
Do you see any error in server error log. Please provide us FTP credentials to check error. Previous FTP credentials are no longer working now. I will fix issue ASAP once you provide FTP credentials.
Best Regards,
