Support for creating a custom theme?

    I haven been using listimia theme, but am now contemplating some significant design changes to the archive and places pages. Am wondering if it would be more efficient to build up a new custom theme starting with underStrap. How would I find out where all the wpgd template files and relevant plugin code live? Is there “deep documentation” of what needs to be touched to support a full redesign of a theme (or create new)? Or do I just have to follow the code?

    We do not provide support for customization.
    Most changes to the GD Archive pages are made at GD > Settings > Pages > GD Archive page > Edit.
    If you want to change the php files, create a child Listimia theme and copy the files in the geodirectory folder of the Listimia theme.

    Thanks Guust – yes, I’ve already done those things. I’m not looking for support, just any more specific documentation. For example, when Addictedtoweb created their theme, did they get any additional documentation to help them through it? Clearly, I’m not on that level and am not an official partner like they are (don’t mean to be presumptuous), I was just wondering if there was some tech spec somewhere that I could leverage. Thanks for considering the question.

    Have a look at https://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Development if you want to learn to build themes.
    GeoDirectory works with any theme, but if you want to change the GD plugin templates, have a look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/

    The process for V2 is similar, but the template files are at /wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/templates.
