    Hi Guys, I am trialing the beta of Supreme Directory, happy with it in general, well done.

    WP 4.5, GD 1.6, PHP 5.6

    I know the top image on the places page is parallax scrolling. The quality of the image is of most importance to me. I have tried uploading various resolutions from 1200×600, 1600×900, 1600 x 600, I am now at 1600 x 450 which stops the scrolling feature.

    The 1600×450 are being downgraded in quality a lot, any ideas on how to stop this? Ihave seen this on 1366×768 and 1920×1080 screens.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I’ve used 1440 X 960 images in the demo.

    However you must make sure they are not being resized. I just noticed I totally skipped explaining this in the docs (I will update asap).

    Basically you need to go to GD >> Design >> Home and enable: Resize image large size (Use default wordpress media image large size for featured image upload. If unchecked then default geodirectory image large size ( 800×800 ) will be used.)

    Then go to Setting >> Media and set the large size max width to 1400 (or 1600 if you prefer). That will stop you original image from being resized.

    Let us know if this helped.

    Thanks

    Is there a way to extend the height of parallax. I would like to show 600px high instead of around 450?

    Found it, add custom CSS
    .featured-area {min-height: 500px;}
