    Hi

On the supreme theme I want to display random order listings but this isn’t a widget. How can I change the sort order? The page I refer to is listing from the default geodirectory menu bar then places link. Also, same page when i click one of my categoreis like this page http://seanthecyclist.co.uk/iowholidays/places/iow-pubs/

The file is apparently geodir-listing.php where i guess the parameters may be hard coded? but I can’t find it.

Also, assuming I can do this, will featured items still stay at top?

    Thanks

Go to place settings >> sort options and select Random as default.

If you sort by random, featured listings will obviously NOT stay on top.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Paolo, I worked it out. The featured positioning Isn’t a problem. Ive worked out more ways of getting the featured listing more prominent before getting to the view all pages. Thanks. Have one more question. Is it possible to show the html editor for customers adding a description in the payments module? Currently it only accepts hardcoding? thanks :0)

    Hi,

yes it is possible even without the payment manager.

Go to GeoDirectory >> Design >> Listings >> Show description field as editor (towards the bottom of the page)

    Thanks

    Thanks Paolo

Is it better to start new threads for different questions? Going back to my first question above though, I want to display places pages with featured always at top, which I can do, but the first non feature is always the last place added which gives that place a higher priority because of its inclusion date. It means that older places are always much further down. Is it possible to keep featured listing always at top of first page and randomise rest if I set default view to random? Maybe I need to just think of better ways to make featured listings more prominent?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I already answer that:

If you sort by random, featured listings will obviously NOT stay on top

    Thanks
