    Hello,

As far as I remember, in GD v1 the tag limit was the total number of characters of all the tags added, while now with GD v2 the tag limit is the total number of tags, am I right?

Then, I feel that the option to set this limit to zero is missing, since setting “0” means “unlimited”. Would it be possible to implement the real zero limit in a future update?

Finally, I believe that curating tags archive pages could be profitable for SEO. Then, I believe that it would be very interesting to be able to restrict non-admin user to existing tags, that is, allowing them to select amongst the available tags, but not creating new ones, since users tend create many useless and senseless tags if they are allowed to.

Does GD allow this? Do you know about any plugin allowing this? Will you consider implement this in the future?

This is the only reference I have found in Google about such a feature, but I do not know if it would be useful for GD:

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

for GDV2 the Pricing Manager -> Package option to limit tags is also for character length.

We have a task to work on a limit of ‘none’ -> No tags allowed, we will post an update when that is complete.

A 3rd party plugin like that may work if it supports custom post types, but because GD Uses custom fields, it may not work. There isn’t currently an option to force selection of existing tags but I will add that as a suggestion for the developers to review for future versions.
