On a test page, when I added the “GD Listings” block the block is so long it’s hard to imagine designing a page this way comfortably. It appears to show every listing even if I have the settings on a category with only 2 listings. If this was a site that had a lot of listings using this block and designing a page with various blocks this way would be hard to do.

I’ve looked at the documentation for design elements but it doesn’t explain how to design anything really. It just lists all the short codes. Is there somewhere that can help me figure out how to build shortcodes so I can just place them into a shortcode block?

I tried the work around for a minute using the classic editor plugin but that plugin may have been causing issues. Since shortcodes are such a big deal it would be very nice to see elaborate, organized, and comprehensive documentation on them. Is there somewhere? I’ve already looked here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/ and here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/ and here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/gutenberg/ and none of this is very helpful in creating the shortcodes beyond the basic. The design elements doesn’t explain them well or give all the ways they can be modified. The shortcode builder was nice but depending on that plugin and switching between classic and blocks feels very messy and may have been causing errors that I reported earlier: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/gd-block-error/

We are constantly adding new parameters and they are very well organized in the shortcode editor or block properties. The list provides a general overview on the Design Elements page but yes more pages with examples will come with time.

Awesome, I look forward to it! I feel like this is could be a nice design tool for a great and easy workflow. There’s definitely a learning curve for me. I’ll keep digging time permitting. I am very excited to learn more about the shortcode options/possibilities.

The website seems very snappy right now. I feel a performance improvement in V2. I can’t wait to populate and promote a site with this.
