    Hi Geodirectory team

When a user wants to translate a listing from the frontend there is no way for him to translate the description :

    1) I register as a normal user and I add a new place

    2) When I go to the page of this spot I have in the sidebar the option “Translate listing”, I duplicate it in french

    3) I go to the page of my French listing page and I want to translate the description

    4) I click on “edit this place” but I can’t edit my french description because the listing has been duplicated

The Option to translate the listing from the frontend is very good, but it should translate the listing independently.

If a user can’t create a different description for every language, this option is not really useful.

Thats not really the point of duplicate post feature
    https://wpml.org/forums/topic/duplicate-vs-translate/#post-651188

    Duplicating post:
This feature is mainly used when you want to display the original language post in other language.

    Hi Stiofan,

    Thanks for your answer,

I understand the difference between duplicate and translate, and for sure the geodirectory fonction works perfectly for duplicate from the frontend

But the thing is, the average users of websites created with geodirectoy plugin are not aware of that, and when they create a new listing and see “Translate Listing” they’re going to think : ‘Oh cool as I speak spanish I can also manage my place in that language !’

But then : ‘Oh no! I have no way to translate the description’

Not a priority but I think it would be a good idea to have an option in the geodirectory admin dashboard like : “translate” OR “duplicate” from the frontend

500 % HAPPY WITH THE AMAZING JOB YOU DO GUYS !

    Just try to help 🙂

    Clem
