Hey guys I’ve tried following steps exactly as laid out in the doc using poedit. I’m not seeing any changes. Litersely did everything that was mentioned. I was trying to change “region” to province in the front end especially in the location drop down. Also “city” to “city/town” but to no cigar. Is this a common issue?

Did you translate the Location Manager addon file?
Did you put that one in the correct location?
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/

If we need to check, we will need WP and FTP admin details. Thanks.

Which website are we talking about? In which folder?
I cannot find the Location Manager language file.
Please also upload the PO file, the MO file by itself cannot be checked.

Review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/ again, and make sure to upload to
    /wp-content/languages/geodirlocation/geodirlocation-en_US.mo

Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/ again, and especially check the paths and the names of the files.

The only file you have in /wp-content/languages is
    /public_html/wp-content/languages/geodirectory/geodiradvancesearch-en_US-2.po

    1. That language file is not the Location Manager language file.
    2. The Advanced Search file should be in this folder: /wp-content/languages/geodiradvancesearch/geodiradvancesearch-en_US.mo
    3. You cannot use any other name than a valid PO or MO file, so you cannot add -2 to it.

So use the core language file and the location manager file, and add them to the correct folder.
If that does not work, let us know.
