Hello,
yesterday I installed the newest its of GD plugin updates. If I now go to my events page, a recurring event is listed right beside it’s initial event „sibling“, even if it has a year to come (please note attachment) I am quite sure that it was displayed in the right order (last in the list) before the update.
Trying to filter the list order by Event Date I noticed that the shortcodes on my event page do not have any effect. I can delete them completely and the appearance of the site doesn’t change.
Now I have the feeling that I did something fundamentally wrong when setting up the Events Page.
What I would like to achieve: Set up an Events Page and integrate that page into my menu. If a user clicks this page, all the events should be displayed in a chronological oder – the event with the date closest to today being first in the list, and the event with a date farthest away from today being last. (I know how to set the global filter to „show all“, „show past“…)
How would I do that?
I have checked Alex’s recommendation
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/sorting-options-question/#post-476389
But the default settings did not help.
Besides that, in the Changelog text of the the GD Core update it says that:
Archive item page default content updated to work with hide content per list view – CHANGED
Would the „view default content“ button on Pages and Template Settings reveal this change? Mine says:
[gd_notifications]
[gd_category_description]
[gd_search]
[gd_loop_actions]
[gd_loop layout=1]
[gd_loop_paging]
Regards,
Martin
