hi,

Pls. help us to understand the origin of this path in url: /gd-login/?interim-login=1

From where and how it is getting generated.

Also, there is set of new 404 urls are getting generated automatically. Pls. let me know the origin and how we can stop these 404 urls.

example:

Automatic generated 404 url : https://www.tuikart.com/places/india/maharashtra/amravati/shreenath-coaching-classes-franchisee-of-career-forum/wp-content-uploads-2014-08-liet-6-500×500/

correct url 200 status of same above url ( which we have created): https://www.tuikart.com/places/india/maharashtra/amravati/shreenath-coaching-classes-franchisee-of-career-forum/

must be a login adding the ?interim-login=1 prt

this look like the URL of a fail upload: https://www.tuikart.com/places/india/maharashtra/amravati/shreenath-coaching-classes-franchisee-of-career-forum/wp-content-uploads-2014-08-liet-6-500×500/

Where do you get it?

Hi Paolo,

These 404 urls were shown in google webmaster error list.

ALso, sorry didn’t understand the ?interim-login=1 prt , i want to know how and when it is generated so that we can make some changes.

1. Login issue – That login link it not generated by Geodirectory or UserWP.

2. 404 on image – If there is a missing image, it is good to find that page and remove the link to the missing image so the 404 disappears.

Hi Alex,

I think :

1: url was generated many times as we see in google analytics. So far, user are new and they would not put this string in url. I fear there is some code which is generating this. Pls. look into.

2: 404 is missing image that i know but why it is getting generated and from where it is getting generated as they are not manual urls. Also, question is why they are getting generated if the only link is image is on the page and that is calling image and have status 200.

Pls. help to get the solution as we need to eliminate this issue from root and hence will not create any bigger issue in future.

Hi,

1) /gd-login/ page is created by GeoDirectory, but it shouldn’t be a 404.

?interim-login=1 we are 100% sure it is not something generated by GeoDirectory. We don’t provide support for 3rd party plugins, so this is case closed for us.

2) Google search console should tell you where the link is visible. If it does, go fix the page where the URL is.

If it doesn’t tell you where it is visible, then mark the problem as resolved.

Just FYI for this case as well we are 100% sure that GeoDirectory cannot generate a similar URL.
