    Hello,

My site has been recently converted to GD V1 by a GD Expert.

    I am using Supreme Directory.

With GD V1, I used Widget Context plugin to place unique content in GD Bottom Sidebar of Archive pages according to an specific tag or category.

Now with GD V2, I tried moving the widgets to the GD Bottom sidebar, but they do not show, should they? Am I doing something wrong or overlooking something important?

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

GD Bottom is not called as part of the GD Archive page template in Supreme V2. Adding it back in would require a customization of the template.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you very much for your response.

I am really frustrated to know this. Currently, the main use of my GD site is based in specific content in GD Archive pages depending of specific Category or Tag.

Is there some simple way, not requiring customization or changing theme, to add specific content to a GD V2 Archive page depending of specific Category and / or Tag? Some plugin?

Right now, I am really considering going back to GD V1. It would be the simplest way to continue with the main use of my GD site.

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

It is only GD Bottom that is not loading, so, you could add it in GD Top?

Then use the plugin you used before to set it there.

We will take a look at adding it back in once our current work priorities are taken care of.

If it is really important, though, then you may want to customize it.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I tried moving the widgets to the GD Top sidebar, and unfortunately they do not show either.

What could I be doing wrong?

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

Can I ask what you are trying to place?
Is it some html or a shortcode?

I was thinking only widget areas but the fact is that you can put almost anything into the bottom of the Archive page by adding it to the bottom of the GD Archive template.

Open the WP Pages and find the GD Archive page, and edit that.
Just start with some text and then check any archive page and you should see it there.

    Does that help?

    Hello,

Because every Thursday I am using the site to run a weekly online marketing campaign and the GD V1 to GD V2 conversion has left several key issues that affect the campaign, today Thursday the 7th March I am restoring the old GD V1 site to be able to run the campaign normally.

Please, do not mark this ticket as resolved. Tomorrow Friday the 8th March I will restore the GD V2 site so we will be able to continue dealing with any issue left after the conversion and definitely solve all them.

Thank you very much for your understanding and help.

    Best regards.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I am trying to place a third party plugin shortcode.

But I do not want it to appear in all Archive pages, but only in specific ones corresponding to specific Tags and / or Categories.

How can I add content to GD Archive page that shows only for an specific Tag or Category?

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

GD does not have any settings for that.

We usually recommend widget logic but what I understand is that there is not a widget area in the place you want it.

    Hi Alex,

To be frank, I am quite frustrated and disappointed that GD V2 does not allow something that was possible with GD V1. I guess that I am not the only GD user that was using GD V1 archive pages bottom sections that I understand have completely gone in GD V2.

Finally I have been able to get something quite close combining “Content Aware Sidebars” with “Widget Context” plugins.

However, I get an annoying dot left (see attached screenshot with the dot marked with red circle) that I can not see where it comes from neither how to make it disappear.

Example GD archive pages where this dot shows:

I look forward to your news.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

That comes from your custom code
    try

    li#text-20 {
        list-style: none!important;
    }
