Gah! I finally had time to look at this. Haven’t had time to address it as urgently as it needs to be. I guess my site is basically BROKEN for all the visitors I’m driving to it. Such a fail. : (
I tried what you said to do on my live site and it didn’t work. Not while the folders were renamed and plugins deactivated, nor when I put things back the way they were. Unfortunately enough content changes have been made to my live site that I can’t just push the staging site over it. I tried to export the 50 new clubs and 100 new events from my live site and import into the staging site, but CPT fields get lost as part of the import/export.
January 20, 2019 at 10:34 am #464269I GOT IT!!! Well, kinda. I nailed one half of the problem down to one
specific and surprising plugin: WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway.I know, weird, but I did a LOT of testing and correlation is 100%.
With it activated, if you do a new search, when you click the map marker icon the widget is blank and you get an error message. With it DE-activated, do same thing, works fine. EVERY time. Note that if you just refresh the URL/page of the first search, it still won’t work for some reason. But a new search, every…single…time.
Can you log in to WPAdmin on my live site and confirm that I’m not crazy?
If I’m right it’s something you’ll want to troubleshoot and debug. This does NOT, unfortunately, seem to be behind the non-working-ness of my self-service add listing form for non-logged-in users, but that’s less of a priority for me.
Credentials to follow.

January 23, 2019 at 2:09 am #464833It’s not fixed, per se — it just works without that plugin activated. : /
But I need to activate that plugin, so I can’t just carry on.I get that y’all might say “not our problem” but WooCommerce is a very popular plugin, built by the developers of WordPress themselves, and PayPal is a necessary piece of that puzzle. I’d think y’all would want to find out why this plugin breaks your maps, then either fix the problem or actively put it on them if it’s something they need to fix.
January 23, 2019 at 9:19 am #464891Hello Greg,
It is working fine for me even after WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway plugin enabled.
Can you confirm?
Kiran
January 23, 2019 at 10:16 pm #465074Sorry, but no I can not confirm. I am still seeing the same behavior. Did you view the site/maps without being logged in as a user and click a map icon? In a different browser or incognito window? Because THAT is when the map icons don’t work if that plugin is enabled. I just re-disabled the plugin so my live site works again. Please don’t activate it again.
For troubleshooting I just cloned my site to staging (https://corncenstaging.wpengine.com) and the behavior is exactly the same. With the WooCommerce PayPal Gateway plugin enabled, visitors to the site that are not logged in as users (i.e. everybody!) sees this unpopulated popup and an error message. Every time.

In incognito windows. ThanksJanuary 25, 2019 at 1:44 am #465323That’s because the WooCommerce PayPal Gateway plugin was deactivated on the staging site.
Not sure if I’d done that or not, I thought it was activated, but in any case the plugin is now activated and I’ll bet you get the broken widget and error messages now.January 25, 2019 at 8:54 am #465365It actually seems to be the “WooCommerce Variation Swatches” plugin.
Can you test to see if you agree and let us know? Thanks -
